Contest details
Make a food dish or full meal, that best demonstrates how fair trade food can be at the centre of our everyday cooking and eating. First prize will win a hamper of Fair Trade food. There will also be a separate childrens (15 yrs and under) prize.
A wide range of fairly traded foods and other products is now available in Oxfordshire. This contest aims to challenge and inspire us, to show how creatively we can go beyond just drinks and snacks, to use fair trade ingredients as a mainstream part of our daily lives.
Entries will be judged on:
Delicious-ness, Nutritious-ness, and visual attractiveness (30% of score)
Creative, extensive use of fair trade ingredients (50% of score)
Good use of local, sustainably grown ingredients (20% of score)
Bring your entries between 12 - 3 pm
judging takes place 3 – 4 pm
Prizes awarded at 4:30 pm

‘Fair Trade Futures’ - by Veronica Pasteur, Head of Campaigns at the Fairtrade Foundation
Where is the Fairtrade movement now, what are the successes and challenges, and where does it need to go from here. This will be a 30 min talk with slides by an expert in the Fairtrade movement, followed by time for questions and discussion.
